Four members of the Saudi Arabian Royal Family have been drowned at Abhar, near Jeddah, according to the Jeddah newspaper. “Al-Bilad ” It says the four were Prince Thamer Ben Nasser AbdelAziz and his mother, and her sister and her brother, Sheikh Saud Ben Abdel-Aziz Ben Moammer. A maidservant accompanying them also died, the newspaper adds, but it gives, no details of the circumstances of the tragedy. The funeral, it adds, was attended by Prince Abrullah Al-Faisal, Prince Masha'Al Ben Abdel-Aziz (the Governor of Mecca). Prince Sultan Ben Abdel-Aziz (the Minister of Defence and Air) and Sheikh Abdeirahman Al-Sudeiri (Jeddah’s distict officer). Fatal Floods At least eight people have drowned in Bavaria and Lower Saxony in the floods that cover many parts of Germany today. But rapidlydropping temperatures in the south and west of the country may soon help to check the flooding caused by torrential rain and melting snow over the last few days.—Bonn, February 25.
