A Thriller Set In Edinburgh
Already screened in Wellington and Auckland, and well received there. “Scobie In September” begins a series on CHTV3 on Monday. This six-part serial has been allotted prime listening time. Produced by the 8.8. C. this thriller serial is set against the background of Edinburgh during the annual International Festival and has been filmed entirely in the Scottish capital. Scobie is an unsuccessful artist who dislikes September. For him, September signifies the start of autumn and has always been an unlucky month. This particular September proves to be no exception. Scobie and his wife, Judy, are. drawn into a frightening web of international conspiracy, at the centre of which sit danger—and death. Maurice Reeves, one of the stars of “Ulysses,” plays Scobie, with Hannah Gordon as Judy. Anton Diffring is seen as the mysterious Pandorus, who arranges a murder for a cause. Other leading roles are played by David Langton, Garfield Morgan and John Grieve.
