Deprivations For Work-shy
' (N Z.P A.-Reuter—Copyright* MOSCOW, Feb. 9. Work-shy Leningrad citizens and those of them who i move from job to job will be deprived of pay rises, end-of-year bonuses and summer holi idays, under measures introduced by the Leningrad • authorities. | Mr Georgiy Popov, first secretary of the Leningrad i City Committee, says in the Communist Party newspaper. “Pravda,” that “violators of labour discipline mainly drunks" are being given less skilled and poorer paid work, regardless of their qualifications. and being deprived of bonuses and other economic incentives for one year, and will have no holidays. Those who change jobs (more than twice within a ' year in search of more money iare given work according to their special skills, but only I in a limited number of enteri prises. They receive no more j money than in their previous I job, no yearly bonuses and no [admission tickets to a resthome, a common facility for ■ Soviet Union workers.
