3 Men Sent For Trial

February 10. i| Three men were committed , to the Supreme Court for trial on a joint charge of attempted murder when the taking of depositions concluded in the Auckland Magistrate’s; Court today Bail was refused. They were Brian Murray Williams, aged 27. a driver. David Theaker, aged 28. a charge hand, and Te Kanawa Pitiroi, aged 30. a spray painter, who were jointly charged that on December 27 they attempted to murder Moeitai Perese and Harry John Stowers at Auckland. They all pleaded not guilty to the charge. They were further jointlycharged with wounding Mr Perese and Mr Stowers with intent to cause grievous bod ily harm. Williams pleaded guilty to that charge Theaker 1 and Pitiroi pleaded not guilty ! Mr D. Morris, with him Mr M. J A. Brown appeared for the Crown. Mr K. Ry-an ap- I peared for Williams. Mr R H,t Ludbrook appeared for Thea- 1 her and Mr P A Williams for J Pitiroi. Mr W K. I, Dougall, S.M., was on the bench. I
