Bank Manager To Retire

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. Mr C. G. Hankin, chief manager for New Zealand of the A.N.Z. Bank, will retire next Friday after 45 years with the bank. He joined the Union Bank of Australia at Palmerston North in 1925 and served in many areas, including management of the bank’s branch in Hereford Street. He was appointed deputy chief manager for New Zealand in 1962, a position he held until March 1, 1967, when he became chief manager. Mr Hankin will be succeeded by Mr T. M. Williamson, at present assistant chief manager.
