BLACK SUIT GOES WELL
“The Press’* Special Service HASTINGS. Black Suit and Callbar attracted most attention during yesterday's trackwork at Hastings. The plough was in first ciass order although not particularly fast when Black Suit (R. B. Marsh) strode freely over five furlongs in Imln 9sec. the last three in 41 2-ssec. Black Suit had a lot in hand. Fraternize (R. B. Marsh), which will contest the Matarawa Hack Handicap at Wanganui, and Luana (C. B. Harris), which is the likely favourite for the Waiau Hack Handicap at Wairoa, impressed running half a mile in 53 2-ssec, the last three in 39 2-ssec. Calibar (R. Jones) ran once round in Imln 41sec. the last six in Imtn 19sec. and the last three In 38 4-sscc.
