j Kirk Takes 8 Wickets (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copynpht) mu SYDNEY. The Canterbury Plunket Shield player, C. Kirk, had outstanding success for th« touring New Zealand Universities team, on the first day of its match against the University of New South Wales yesterday On a pitch that suited spin. Kirk took eight for 29, including three wickets in the last oyer. New South Wales was all out for 115 after four hours batting. The other two wickets fell to W. Stott, at a cost of 19 runs In reply, the New Zealand openers, M. Parker and 1. Walter, made a good start before Parker was out with the score at 77.
