P.M. Declines Islands Visit
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake), has declined an invitation from the people of the Chatham Islands to visit the island. Because of prior commitments he would not be able to accept, he said today. No specific dates were proposed in the invitation. “1 would have liked to go,” he said. “I have never been to the islands, and I have always wanted to go.”
