Greeks Gaoled For Life
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SALONIKA (Greece). Feb. 5. Four students were gaoled for life by a Salonika court martial yesterday on charges of plotting to overthrow the regime. The sentences came at the end of a week-long trial in which nine people, seven of them students, were accused of plotting to overthrow the present Army-backed regime to establish a Communisttype administration. The five-man military tribunal passed life terms on Antonios Liakkos, aged 23, and Triantafylos Mytafides. aged 23, both students of philosophy, and Anastassios Derveris, aged 25, and Stergios Katsaros, aged 28, both students of mathematics.
