Time Off For Royal Visit
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 4. The amount of time off work to be given employees during the Royal visit next month should be decided locally, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today. He asked mayors and chairmen of local authorities in areas to be visited or passed through by the Royal family to suggest the businesses close long enough for people to join in welcoming the Royal guests. Government offices would conform with local closing arrangements.
