Jean Batten School

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 4. The Auckland Education Board today approved the naming of a new primary school after the pioneer New Zealand flyer. Miss Jean Batten. The chairman and committee of Mangere Central No. 4 School sought approval to name the school after her. The new school, in Imrie Avenue, Mangere East, opened yesterday with a roll of 408.
