Sicilians’ Dilemma
Six hundred of the 90,000 Sicilians who lost their homes in an earthquake in 1968 are about to lose their temporary shelter as well. The Mayor of Salem! (Mr Antonino Grillo) has ruled that the 200 barracks buildings housing the survivors are uninhabitable because their wooden walls are rotting, and must be vacated.—Trapani, January 30.
