Fellowship To Violist

A member of the N.Z.B.C. Symphony Orchestra, Anthony A. Watson, is the first recipient of the University of Otago Mozart fellowship.

Some of Mr Watson’s compositions for strings have already been performed, including string quartets, a viola quintet and a solo viola sonata.

The fellowship provides a salary similar to that of a lecturer and is available for one year for composers who were born in New Zealand or who are normally resident here.
