Miss Kerr Resigns

Miss Joan Kerr, who has been manager of the Chamber Music Federation for seven years, has decided to resign. Her successor will be Mr John Peacock, head of the language department at Lytton High School, Gisborne. He will take up his new duties in February. Mr Peacock graduated from Oxford University in 1955 with an MA. in English language and literature. He taught in schools in England and Northern Ireland before coming to New Zealand in 1959. He has since taught at the Hamilton Boys’ High School and at the Queen Victoria High School in Fiji, as well as at Gisborne.
