Majority In Honduras

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BELIZE (British Honduras), December 7. The Prime Minister of British Honduras (Mr George Price) has won a mandate to lead the colony towards independence by winning all but one of the seats at stake in Friday’s general election, final results showed today. Mr Price’s ruling People’s United Party increased its majority in the 18-member House of Representatives from 16 to 17. Independence for this colony of 120,000 inhabitants— British since 1638 and selfgoverning since 1964—was the main issue in the election campaign.
