PRODUCTION RECORD
I Tasman Pulp Mill (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Nov. 11. A triple production record. ; including the manufacture of more than 200,000 tons of newsprint, was set by the Tas- ’ man Pulp and Paper Com--1 pany, Ltd, at its Kawera mill • in the financial year ended 1 October 31. The mill produced 202,579 i tons of newsprint, compared ■ with the previous highest of > 195,770 tons, manufactured in 1 i the last financial year. The production of kraft pulp exceeded 100,000 tons l for the first time, reaching ; 103,034 tons. In 1968, 99.600 : tons was produced. i The amount of pulp manufactured for sale was 55,843 i tons. The amount in the 1968 year was 54,640 tons.
