Remembrance Day Set
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 23. The Prime Minister (Mr Hoiyoake) asked by Gazette notice today that November 9 be observed as Remembrance Day. “Two minutes silence should be observed from 11 a.m. and all vehicular traffic should halt during that period,” the notice says. “The Government trusts that churches will agree to arrange for a morning service on this day.”
