F.I.F.A. Gives Ultimatum
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ZURICH. The International soccer federation, F.1.F.A.. has told Australia and Rhodesia that they must play their World Cup qualifying match on Portugese territory before the end of November, Associated Press reported. Dr Helmut Kaeser, the F.I.F.A. secretary-general, said the Portugese Football Association will next week arrange a definite date and site for the game, which will probably be played in Portgual or the Portuguese African Colony, Mozambique. F.I.F.A. sources confirmed that this is an ultimatum, and if either side refuses to accept these conditions, then its opponent will automatically go through to a final qualifying match against Israel for a place in the Mexico finals next year. The two-leg series between Israel and the winner of the Australia-Rhodesia game must be completed by December 31.
