Two Rooms For Akaroa D.H.S.

(From Out Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Oct 22. A tender has been accepted for the erection of two additional classrooms in the primary department of the Akaroa District High School The tender was awarded to Mr M. Orange, whose price of $20,793 was the lowest of the three received. Advice of this has been received hy the member of Parliament for Lyttelton (Mr N. E. Kirk) from the Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella). The Minister said that one of the two classrooms would replace a temporary unit and the other was needed to cater for an expected increase in the roll.
