CLINICAL SCHOOL

Dean To Be Appointed A dean of the proposed clinical school at Christchurch Hospital would almost certainly be appointed within the next six months, the chairman of the North Canterbury Hospital Board (Dr L. C. L. Averill) said yesterday. As soon as the dean was appointed the board would build the school on his recommendation, he said. The Government had earmarked money for educational purposes for the clinical schools in Christchurch and Wellington. The establishment of the school would be a tremendous development for Christchurch. Dr Averill’s remarks were in connection with a report that Otago University had acknowledged the board’s ac- : ceptance of the establishment ■ of a clinical school in Christchurch.
