Hobart Wool Sale
The Hobart Woolbrokers’ Asociation reports that 13,223 bales were on offer at yesterday’s wool sale, at which there was keen competition. The Continent, Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom were the main /buyers, good support coining from Japan and Australian mills. Compared with the rates ruling at mainland centres last week, the market was fully firm for comeback fleece wools and skirtings of all types, but fine and medium crossbred fleece lines were a little irregular, and rates for these were barely maintained.—Hobart, October 22.
