ROBERTS REMANDED

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, October 14. Murray Beresford Roberts, aged 50, was remanded today by Mr J. D. Murray, S.M., to appear in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court next Monday on a charge of theft. Roberts was arrested in Dunedin yesterday on a bench warrant issued in Wellington. He was charged with the theft of two suitcases and their contents, valued at $284.00, on or about August 28, between Wellington and Auckland. Detective Senior-Sergeant N H. Bennett said that Roberts, when arrested, was using the aliases Dr Adams and John Ngahu Jackson.
