Pigeon Racing
The Christchurch South Pigeon Club race from Palmerston North resulted In a good win for the junior member, G. Baker. Eighteen owner* sent off 91 birds. Results were: G. Baker, p. and D. Phillips, E. Courtier, O. Ryan. F. Walmsley, P. Wltsey, W. Kirk, W. Ewart (senior), H. Courtier, R. Lane. W. Ewart (junior), T. and R. Holland, G. and C. Hutchinson, J. Jamieson.
R. Bate won the East Christchurch Club’s race from Palmerston North, Mrs Bate took the women’s prize and S. Starling won the nominated bird prize. Results were:—R. Bate, D. O’Dare, D. Anthony, t. Suti, A. and B. Wenmoth, R. Newton, K. Harriston. F. Thyre, R. I Moore, W. Walk, S. Starling.
