New Dairy Beef Class

N.Z. Press Association, .. WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. A special dairy beef class will be created in district competition* this year for beef and beef-cut*, the Meat Board announced today. A board spokesman said the special class was designed to encourage increased interest in the production of beef from the dairy herd. Beef eligible for entry in the new class could be a cross of any origin, subject only to being the progeny of a dairy cow from a recognised herd. Winning entries in the class would not be sent on to the United Kingdom for judging in London.

Full details of entry and judging would be sent to producers by the board.
