West Surprises In Women’s Softball

Th« Canterbury women’s softball season opened on Saturday, with the senior teams producing a higher standard than at the beginning of last season. Monowai B seemed to be the most unproved side and last year’s second place-getters. Christchurch West, was well held until the last tamings when a home run by G. Bowyer kept the game safe for West. In its game with S preyd on, Monowai A’s stronger batting was the deciding factor. Christchurch West t, Monowai B S G.
