Good Entry For Next Saturday Entries for the Ellesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual show, which is always the first of the spring shows in the South Island, and is to be held this year on Saturday. October 18, are very satisfactory. especially in the sheep, cattle and horse sections. The total over an sections is 2576 as against 2814 last year. The numbers received are as follows, with the corresponding figures for last year given in parentheses: Sheep 380 (327). dog trials (47) 81, shearing 8 (8». cattle 247 (248), horses, 820 <B23L pigs 108 (182), goats 7 (8), poultry 69 (65), dogs 22 (16). dairy and domestic produce H <9O). needlework 128 (123), junior 461 (655), photography, a new section, 152, grain seeds and roots 74 (86)* totals 2576 (2414).
