In the search for historic truth we find human life has been cheap, profit sacrosanct Allied statesmen’s greatest handicaps have been their own in--1 consistencies, having failed to • implement principles and ob- ’ jectives for which they en- ‘ tered wars. The current
period of regression has produced slaves to prejudice and conformity where misjudgment of military and ethical factors has occurred quite foreign to the concept of international order. The rearming of West Germany by the United States, starting with the Pentagon-Gehlen
agreement was a tragic mistake and the colossal sums invested in Russia’s satellite nations have produced the pluralistic tendencies now responsible for Czechoslovakia’s plight This poverty of abundance makes coneord the law of necessity and balance of prudence the fulcrum of negotiations.—Yours, etc., WEST WIND.
