More Wheat Exported

About 13,000 tons of Southland wheat left Bluff this week by the St Elisabeth for Central America. The wheat was purchased from the Wheat Board and sold to an international grain merchant by the export department of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd, Christchurch. Mr J. C. Paterson, of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd, said last evening that the world wheat trade was going through a very difficult and depressed period and it was fortunate that overseas sales for New Zealand wheat had been made. Mr Paterson complimented the Wheat Board and others concerned in Southland on their efforts for speedy loading of the wheat.
