WEEK-END TRAVEL BOOKINGS HEAVY

Most passenger services are heavily booked for this week-end because of the start of the school holidays.

The traffic manager of Midland Motorways Services. Ltd, (Mr T. N. Direen) said that extra coaches would be put on the company’s Christchurch to Dunedin service to cater for the traffic tomorrow evening. Although no extra services are scheduled, the railways will add units to rail-cars and extra carriages to trains this week-end.
