EXPORT BEEF
Reduction In Schedule Because meat exporters have generally sold all the beef they can this year to the United States and prices on the Canadian and United Kingdom markets are considerably lower, payments to producers for all boner and overfat cattle will be lower next week. A week ago prices for boner and overfat cow. ox and heifer were reduced $1 per 1001 b. For these classes another reduction of $1 will take effect from Monday. Boner bull prices have also been reduced from recent high levels by $1 per 1001 b. Because at this stage of the year all prime cattle are being absorbed by the local market, Operators have decided to withdraw the schedules for g.a.q. and f.a.q. ex, heifer and cow beef. Prices from Monday are; Boner cow, ox and heifer.— 1: $17.50 per 1001 b. 2: $16.50. Overfat cow, ox and heifer. —510.75. Boner BuB.—l: $l9. 2: $2250. 3: $21.50.
