(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. D. Underwood, the England slow left-arin bowler, won the $214 prize for the best bowling performance in the first cricket test against New Zealand.

Underwood took seven wickets for 32 runs in New Zealand’s second innings and finished with a match figure of 11 wickets for 70 runs. J. Edrich, who made 115 in England’s second innings, won the $214 batting prize. Runners-up awards of $lO7 each went to the New Zealanders G. Turner (batting) and H. Howarth (bowling). The awards were made by I the Horlicks Company.
