Train Derailed
A British train carrying more than 400 passengers was derailed at a speed of 90 miles an hour on Wednesday night, but only 11 persons were injured, most of them slightly. The accident happened near Sandy, Bedfordshire, when the London to Newcastle express jumped the track. The most serious injury, a broken leg, was suffered by a woman when a coach rolled down an embankment Buckled rails, caused by the present heatwave in Britain, are believed to have caused the accident —London, July 25.
