Govt Rejects Objections <tt.Z. rreti Auociation) WELLINGTON, July 25. The Government has rejected objections lodged by international airlines to the new scale of landing fees announced by the Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon) earlier this year. Representatives of the international Air Transport Association came to Wellington from Geneva to oppose the new charges, but regulations gazetted this week by Mr Gordon confirm that the increase will come into force as scheduled on October 1. The new landing charges, to be paid by every international airline operator landing in New Zealand, are $1.85 landing for every 10001 b of gross aircraft weight up to 35.0001 b (up 35c per 10001 b) and $l.lO for every 10001 b above 35,0001 b (up 20c).'
