Around The Bays

A Summit Road from Sumner around all the bays to Akaroa would make the finest scenic drive in New Zealand, Mr P. A. de Latour, of the Akaroa County Council, told the Canterbury Progress League at its monthly meeting on Wednesday evening. The league agreed to support the county council in its efforts to obtain National Roads Board finance for the formation of the Gebbies PassHilltop section. Mr de Latour said that this section had been surveyed and could be traversed by fourwheel drive vehicles.
