$25,812 Loss At Auckland

•‘The Press’' Special Service AUCKLAND. The Auckland Trotting Club showed a loss of 925,812 for the season, after allowing for depreciation of >30.542. This is revealed in the statement of accounts to be presented at the club’s annual meeting next Wednesday. Last year, when the InterDominion Championships were held at Alexandra Park, the club made a profit of 45557. Revenue from gates and stands, totalisator turnover, and nomination and acceptance fees all showed sizeable reductions compared with the 1947-88 season. The totalisator income declined from $197,952 to $175,345, nominations and acceptances were down by 314,204 from $37,137 and gate takings fell by $19,689 from $95,958. In spite of the drop in totalisator receipts, $214,532 was given in stakes and trophies.
