Planning At Wellington (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 9. Wellington’s sBm container berth was expected to be ready for the first ships on the New Zealand-North American run in April, 1971, the chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board (Mr E. M. Hodder) said today. “We are well advanced in our planning and physical development in all respects,” Mr Hodder said. Tenders are also being called for two new tugs at a cost of sl.sm. A new crane for handling containers is likely to be ordered soon at a cost of $900,000, and the harbour entrance is to be deepened.
