CUSTOMS MOVE
New Post In Australia (N.Z. Pres* Xssoeiaiion) WELLINGTON, July 8. The Government had decided to establish a post of New Zealand customs representative in Australia, the Minister of Customs (Mr Shelton) said today. Australia recently announced the appointment in New Zealand of a senior Australian customs officer. The New Zealand representative, as well as carrying out the normal inquiry work into the invoicing of goods exported to New Zealand, would be able to give Australian exporters an advisory service on tariffs and other matters relating to the importation of goods into New Zealand.
