Sound Trial By Hurdlers
Doraldo and Alberta shaped satisfactorily in a run over six hurdles at Riccarton yesterday. Doraldo, which is engaged
in the Studholme Hurdles at Waimate on Saturday, lacked racing condition when he failed at the second South Canterbury winter meeting. Much of yesterday’s work was done in fog and several gallops could not be timed . Koral, Mosque, Ettrick, and Bush Creek started a working gallop on the No. I grass near the mile and a quarter. Bush Creek dropped behind the others in the straight Koral, Mosque, and Ettrick recorded 52 3-5 for the last half mile.
