Fog Closes Airport
Three outward flights and three inward flights by National Airways Corporation aircraft were cancelled last evening when heavy fog covered Christchurch Airport about 6 p.m. Aircraft from Dunedin, Auckland and Wellington were affected when the airport was closed to landings at 6 p.m., and aircraft bound for Dunedin, Wellington, and Timaru and Oamaru were prevented from taking off after the airport was closed to all traffic about 6.15 p.m.
