Beard by two strokes to win the $U5125,000 Buick Open Golf tournament Hill had an 11-under-par 277. and Beard had 279. H. Blancas, who had shared the first-round lead, managed to tie with Hill for a couple of holes, but he blasted from •one trap to another and was two over on the last hole to finish third.
