Make-up Hints For Winter
Winter offers a challenge every day to the woman who cares about her complexion. Make-up Is essential in a chilly atmosphere, if only to serve as a protective layer that will prevent skin from “weathering.” Every complexion needs a moist oil smoothed over it each day to keep it soft, supple and free from dryness. Even if it is worn simply as a protective base beneath make-up, a blend of Isotonic oil and moisture might make all the difference between a sustained, velvety complexion and one that is beginning to look faded, lined and weather-beaten.
Always be sure to apply a film of moist oil to the face
and neck before using makeup foundation. Modern foundations are nearly always tinted to make skin look flawless.
Blend the foundation evenly with the fingers until the complexion is covered completely. A touch of rouge high, on the cheekbones should be topped with a dusting of powder in a shade matching the foundation. Lipstick, which is made from oils and waxes, is windproof and waterproof and insures against ehapped and cracked lips. Wear a peachtoned coral lipstick shade this winter. Moist oil massaged into the lips before applying lip colour provides extra protection and helps prevent caking and smudging.
