Japanese Navy Trainees

TOKYO, June 18.

A training squadron of the Japanese Maritime Selfdefence Force will leave Tokyo on July 1, for a fourmonth cruise to Asia and Oceania, Jiji Press reports. It will be made up of four destroyers. The 2350-ton Teruzuki will serve as the flagship.

The four vessels will be manned by 1100 officers and men under Vice-Admiral Tetsuro Kimura.

They will visit Noumea, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ceylon, Pakistan, India, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Taiwan.
