Welsh Reminder The Welsh Rugby mascot, Dai Debenture, will be given to the Taranaki Rugby Union. The mascot, a fiery red dragon, takes its name from the Welsh Rugby Union’s massive fund-raising programme for tfie rebuilding of Cardiff Arms Park, The team manager, Mr H. Rogers, said yesterday the mascot was brought to New Zealand for presentation to the provincial side which gave the best performance against Wales. Taranaki drew, M, in the opening match of the tour; The other two provinces to meet Wales, Wellington and Otago, both Iost.—(N.Z.P.A.) C.0.R.5.0. Serviced Many churches in Canterbury and the West Coast held special services yesterday to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of C.0.R.5.0., the Urea Organiser (Mr R. H. French) said last evening. A booklet giving background information had been sent to 280 churches last week and they were asked to observe the day in some way. Mr French spoke at three services during the day.
