AUCKLAND OFFICE

32 Storeys Approved (tt.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 20. Town planning approval for what will be the tallest building in Auckland—a 32-storey office block in the downtown redevelopment scheme—has been granted by the Auckland City Council.

The building, which will contain banking premises and a restaurant on its lower levels, is the third and final stage of the s36m Auckland Harbour Board project. Standing on the corner of Customs Street West and Lower Albert Street, the building will have direct access to a major shopping complex and a parking building for more than 1000 vehicles. Construction is expected to take about seven years.
