A NEW TYPE OF RAILWAY WAGGON.—One of the first of the 20-ton C-type waggons built at the Hillside workshops, Dunedin, photographed in Christchurch. It is on its way to the new Glenbrook steel mill in Auckland, where about 20 of these waggons will be used to carry coal. Its fittings include load-sensitive brakes, automatic coupling, and unloading doors worked by compressed air. It can carry 43 tons of coal.
