(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT. The Westport Competitions Society opened its twenty-seventh annual festival on Monday in the Holland Hall. Entries are not as large as Usual, and the festival is being curtailed to four days, concluding with the one exhibition concert on Thursare: Mr D. Martin; vocal, instrumental and speech, and Jean MacDonald, dancing, both of Christchurch.
