Standard To Pay Div.
(N.Z. Press Association)
DUNEDIN, May 12.
The liquidators of Standard Insurance Company, Ltd, in Australia and New Zealand are taking steps to pay a second dividend to all unsecured creditors.
The liquidator of the company (Mr H. S. J. Tilly) said today that it was expected that the dividend would be at the rate of 15c in the dollar, which with the first dividend of 35c paid in June,
1967, made a total of 50c in the dollar.
It is expected that this dividend will be declared and paid on June 25. Mr Tilly explained that there would be a third dividend as soon as a large area of potential industrial land inear Sydney had been sold. As zoning procedures were involved he could make no estimate of when this was likely to be nor could he estimate the likely rate of the third dividend. However, it appeared that a final dividend may still be several years away.
These dividends are payable to unsecured creditors and not to shareholders. |
