Control Of Stalls
"The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, May 11. At its annual conference in Dunedin at the week-end, the New Zealand Fruit Retailers’ Federation commended the Rangiora County Council’s action in passing regulations for the control of roadside fruit and produce stalls. These regulations prohibit the erection of any new stalls on road reserves u. the Rangiora county.
The regulations say that only produce grown in adjacent land may be sold in the stalls except by special conditions of the county council. The federation agreed that the regulations would put the small stall and trailer or barrow at the gate out of business and reduce the number of larger stalls also.
