Boys’ Brigade Tournaments
Both the Rugby and soccer cups changed hands at the annual seven a-side Rugby and six a-side soccer tournament of the junior section of the Boys’ Brigade at the North New Brighton School on Saturday.
The 13th Christchurch company. entrants in the Rugby final for the last five years, and the holder of the cup. was beaten 9-3 in the final by the 33rd Christchurch company. Another regular entrant in the soccer final, the 7th Christchurch company, won the soccer competition when it beat the 6th Christchurch company by two corners.
More than 600 boys took part in the two tournaments, which have been conducted over the last two Saturdays.
