Ellesmere Rugby
The surprise defeat of Southbridge by Irwell marked the fourth round of the Ellesmere Rugby Sub-union senior competition on Saturday. Lincoln also surprised when It held the more favoured Darfield to a draw. Leeston is now the only unbeaten team. Points in the senior grade after Saturday's round are:— Leeston 8. Darfield 7, Southbridge 6, Battalion 8, Lincoln 5. Irwell 4, Peninsula 2, Burnham 2, United 8, Prebbleton 0.
